Black codes- Laws that severely limited the rights of freedom.
Radical Republicans- Vowed to take control of Reconstruction.
14th Amendment- Made citizens he right to vote.
Impeach- Bring formal charges against Johnson.
15th Amendment- Forbade any state to deny any Citizen the right to vote "race of color".
KKK- Worked to keep African American and white Republicans out of office.
Dim crow Laws- Separated blacks and whites in school, laws, and ect.
Plessy Vs. Ferguson Supreme Court ruled that segregation was legal so long as facilities for blacks and whites where equal.
