When was the Great Schism? It was in the year 1054.
The political religious issues at stake in the Great Schism The chief religious issue at stake was the question whether the pope in Rome had superior authority. The schism divided the common front.
What is Chivalry? 1) defense against the Church. 2) bravery, loyalty, honesty, and mercy. 3) honor, kindness, and courtesy.
What is Christendom? The Middle ages gave us what we called Christendom-the unique society and culture formed by the Catholic Church.
