Decline of Feudalism

What did King Henry II do? Made criminals go to his royal court.
What problem did King Henry II caused? The death of Thomas Becket.
Who was King John? Younger son of King Henry II.
What did King John do to make enemies? Lost most of the land the English controlled.
How did the nobles fix the problems of King John? Made him sign the Magna Carta
What did the Magna Carta do? Why was it important to history? A agreement to lower power. Became the foundation of the English rights.
Describe the Model Parliament. Included more people into government, high and low classes.
Where did the plague start? In central Asia, possibly China.
Where did the plague spread? Throughout China, India, and Europe.
What were the symptoms of the plague? Fever, vomiting, coughing and sneezing, and egg-sized swelling and bumps.
What contributed to the spread of the plague? Dirty conditions.
How did the plague effect the Jews? Why? Many people blamed the Jews and many left the city.
What did the plague do to the population? What percent died. 24 million people died almost 50%.
How did the plague affect the feudal system? The need for workers was high, but there were fewer workers due to the plague.
What was the English Peasants' War? The peasants entered London and presented their demands for more rights to King Richard II.
