Guerilla Warfare is a form of irregular warfare in which a small group of combatants such as armed civilians or irregulars use military tactics
Exile means to be away from one's home (i.e. city, state or country), while either being explicitly refused permission to return and/or being threatened
Flexible Response was a defense strategy implemented by John F. Kennedy in 1961 to address the Kennedy administration's skepticism of Dwight Eisenhower's
Executive Order to help officers and agencies of the executive branch manage the operations within the federal government itself
Seek and Destroy Refers to military strategy that became a large component of the Malavan Emergency and the Viethan War
Vietcong the Communist-led guerrilla force and revolutionary army of South Vietnam; the armed forces of the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam
Coup a highly successful, unexpected stroke, act, or move; a clever action or accomplishment.
Deferment a temporary exemption from induction into military service.
Hawk Also called war hawk. Informal. a person, especially one in public office, who advocates war or a belligerent national attitude. Compare dove
Dove a pure white member of this species, used as a symbol of innocence, gentleness, tenderness, and peace.
Counter Culture the culture and lifestyle of those people, especially among the young, who reject or oppose the dominant values and behavior of society.
Silent majority the U.S. citizens who supported President Nixon's policies but who were not politically vocal, outspoken, or active: considered by him to constitute a majority.
Vietnamization a US government policy of transferring the tasks of fighting and directing the war to the government and forces of South Vietnam
MIAs a soldier declared missing in action.
Martial Law the law temporarily imposed upon an area by state or national military forces when civil authority has broken down or during wartime military operations
