15th All male citizens of any race or color can vote (remember males only)
14th Made all former slaves citizens and said that states could not deny any citizens his/her constitutional rights
17th Direct voting for Senators
13th Abolished Slavery
E pluribus unum "Out of many, one" Meaning - one of many colonies/states, we are one nation.
18th Prohibition
26th Right to vote at 18 (instead of 21)
21st Ended Prohibition
19th Gave WOMEN the right to vote
24th Citizens can't be asked to pay a tax to vote (Poll tax)
23rd Gave the residents of Washington, D.C. the right to vote.
12th The President and Vice President are elected separately. Electors are chosen be the state legislators to vote as part of the electoral college.
