Congruent The same shape and size
Parellel extending in the same direction, equidistant at all points, and never converging
Perpendicular Lines that are at right angles (90°) to each other
Triangle A 3-sided polygon
Quadrilateril A flat shape with four straight sides
Parallelogram A 4-sided flat shape with straight sides where opposite sides are parallel
Trapezoid A 4-sided flat shape with straight sides that has a pair of opposite sides parallel
Square A 4-sided flat shape with straight sides where all sides have equal length, and every angle is a right angle (90°)
Rectangle A 4-sided flat shape with straight sides where all interior angles are right angles (90°)
Rhombus A 4-sided flat shape with straight sides where all sides have equal length
Face A flat surface of a polygon
Egde A line segment where two faces meet a solid figure
Vertices A point where two or more straight lines meet
Cube A box-shaped solid object that has six identical square faces
Prism A solid object that has two identical ends and all flat sides.
Cylinder A solid object with two identical flat ends that are circular or elliptical and one curved side. It has the same cross-section from one end to the other.
Cone A solid (3-dimensional) object that has a circular base and one vertex
Pyramid solid object where the base is a polygon the sides are triangles which meet at the top
Volume The amount of 3-dimensional space an object occupies. Capacity
Cubic Unit Volume of the solids is measured in Cubic Units
