Appeasement Doing something to keep peace
Synagogue A Jewish place of worship
Holocaust The mass murder of European Jews and others during WWII
Inferior Less adavanced or lower in position
Blitzkrieg "Lightning War"
Radar A system used to locate objects such as planes
Axis Powers The alliance of Germany, Italy, and Japan during WWII
Asset Something of worth
Infamy Disgraceful or lacking honor
Patriotic Having love for one's country
Civilian Someone not in the military
Ration To use less or limit the amount of something
Combat Battle
Detention The act of holding someone against their will
Counter Attack To fight back following an attack
Bunker An underground shelter
Atomic Bomb A bomb with great destructive power
Cease Fire A call for an end to fighting.
