Australia is a constitutional monarchy. What does that mean? It is ruled by a king or queen whose powers are limited by a constitution
Who runs the government on a day-to-say basis in Australia? Prime minister
Who is the head of state for Australia? Queen of England
What is the legislature in Australia called? Parliament
What position represents the queen in Australia? Governor-general
For what position do Australians get to vote? Members of Parliament
