Monasteries Middle Ages

Refectory Where the monk ate breakfast and dinner.
Infirmary Where the monk went when sick.
Cloister Walled area outside the church. Monks could walk here and breathe fresh air.
Dormitory Where the monks slept
Chapter House Business of the monastery took place here
Scriptorium Manuscripts were written here.
Chapterhouse A place where important decisions were made about the monastery.
