30 years b4 Cold War

Cold War

How many years had the USSR been Communist for just before the Cold War started? + what year did the Communists take power in Russia? More than 30 years. The Communists took power in Russia in 1917.
How did the USA & Britain feel about Communist ideas? They hated and feared them.
Due to the Communists taking power in 1917, what happened? A civil war broke out.
So what happened that affected the East? British & US troops were sent to fight in it.
And how did the USSR feel about this? It made them fear Britain and the USA.
What were they? Enemies.
What did the fear of Communism create in the USA and when was this? The fear of Communism in the 1920s created a Red Scare in the USA.
Who was arrested during this time? Thousands of immigrants who had radical views.
Linked to this, what was one reason the British government reacted t strongly to the General Strike? And come to think of it, when was the General Strike? They feared it had been caused by agents of the USSR. This was in 1926.
