What does the Preamble explain? Why a new government is needed
Can the Constitution change? Yes over time, but the structure stays the same
What is popular sovereignty? The power of the government comes from the people
What is the Legislative branch's power? Make laws

What is the age required to be a Representative? 25
How many years would a Representative have to be a U.S citizen? 7 years
What are the Representative's more responsive to? The state's population
How often are Senator's elected? Every six years
How long would a Senator have to be a U.S citizen? 9 years
What are Senator's more independent and thoughtful on? Overall country and government
How many Senator's are there per state? Two Senator's
What is the Elastic Clause? Allows Congress to "make laws which are necessary" to carry out it's power
A President can serve how many four year terms? Two
What are the President's powers? Commander and Chief of the nation's military, make treaties with other countries with Congress's consent, nominates ambassadors to other countries, nominates Supreme Court Justices, grant pardons
