Salem Witch Trial Several young girls were told frightening stories about witches.
Roger Williams Did not support the New England Way. He opposed forced church attendance. Because of his beleifs, He was forced to leave Massachusetts Bay Colony.
Anne Hutchinson Beleived that people did not have to attend church
Pilgrims A Separatist group. I November, 1620, the pilgrims, sailing on the Mayflower, were blown off their course. They landed in a place called Plymouth.
Puritans Another religious group, the Puritans, also left England to escape persecution.
King Phillip's War As the Massachusetts colony grew, settlers began to take Native American land. This led to conflict between the colonists and the Native Americans, which led to King Phillip's War in 1675.
