QuestionAnswer
Salem Witch Trials Girls from Salem hear a story about witches and go around falsely accusing girls of bewitching them, and they are arrested and tried. If they were found guilty they were burned.
Roger Williams Roger Williams was a priest in Salem, Massachusettes who did not believe in the Puritans way of church, so he was run out of Salem.
Anne Hutchinson A woman priest like Roger Williams did not believe in the Puritans way of church and fled to Rhode Island.
Pilgrims The Pilgrims were the first settlers in England. They were a Separatist group who called for a total break with the Church of England.
Puritans The Putitans were another religious group who wanted to reform the Church of England by "purifying" some of its practices that were similar to the Catholic Church.
King Philip's War The Quakers thought that all land was theres, while the Indians thought that all land belonged to every one. (Colonist won.)
