Study of medieval guilds

QuestionAnswer
What is a guild? A group trades used to train their craftsmen
What is an apprentice? 12 year old boy who begins to study the craft but doesnt get paid.
What is a journeyman? The boy could travel and get paid at this stage of their life.
How did someone become a master-craftsman? After a student made a very impressive piece of work, he paid money to the guild and joined it.
