Who is Demosthenes? An Athenian orator who tried to warn the Greeks that Phillip was dangerous.
what is Hellenistic? The Greeks.
who is Alexander the great? son of Phillip who conquered Greece of Macedonia.
What is Alexandria? The most noted of the cities named for Alexander, found in Egypt.
what is a breakwater? Barriers that break the force waves.
What is a migrate? when people leave one place to go to another.
what is hostage? a person held by an enemy until certain promises are made.
who are barbaroi? non-Greeks.
what are factories? where goods are made.
what happened in 146 B.C.? most of the Greek city states were under Roman control.
