Kentucky leads the nation in the production of whiskey, which is distilled from corn to grain.
Kentucky’s most important mineral product is coal.
Although Kentucky is the nation’s leading whiskey maker, more than half of its counties are dry, which means the sale of alcohol is forbidden.
