Badminton Demo

What is the purpose of badminton? To win more points than your opponent
How many games does a match consist of? Three best
How many points in a game? 21
When are points awarded? After every play to team that won rally
How does team win a rally? If opposing team commits 'fault' or shuttle ceases to be in play bc it touches surface of court inside opponents court
What happens if score = 20-all? Team which gains two point lead fist wins game
What happens if score = 29-all? Team scoring 30th point wins
Who serves first in next game? Winning team
How is game started? By spinning racquet, a toss or rally
When score is even you serve from... right
When score is odd you serve from... left
Where do you serve to? Diagonally opposite service box
What happens if rally is won by serving team? Same server serves, from opposite service box, rotation continues until team loses rally, then other team gets serve
Is it a fault if the bird hits the net on a serve but lands in the proper court? No
Is it a fault if the bird lands on the line? No
Fault or not:Hitting bird out of court boundaries? Fault
Fault or not:hitting net with player's body fault
Fault or not: racquet or clothing while bird is in play fault
Fault or not:hitting shuttle twice, fault
Fault or not: reaching over net fault
