How did the Nile Tigris and Euphrates river help farming civilizations develop. These rivers helped civilizations to develop because it helped them survive gave them fertile soil winch helped crops grow because of all the nutrients.
Why do farmers have to irrigate there crops. Farmers irrigate there crops because some were unable to live by a body of water so they developed a plan to bring the water to the plants. They did this to keep the plants alive so they would survive.
How did the red sea effect the development of the middle east. The red sea effected development in the middle east by all the trade routes. All the trade routes allowed trades of not just products but ideas. Also provided them with a way of transportation.
Why is there so much oil in the middle east. Because millions of years ago when living organisms would die there and there remains would sink to the bottom all the heat and pressure they would turn to oil and petroleum.
What happens to the ottoman empire after world war 1. Afterworld war 1 the ottoman empire sided with Germany against Great Britain France and Russia. European nations divided the empire at there Sevres Conference.

What two religions groups fought over control of Palestine. The religious groups that fought over Palestine are the Arabs and the Israelis (Jews).
How did the United Nations try to solve the conflict over Palestine. The united nations tried to solve the conflict by dividing the land. Half fort the Arabs and half for the Israelis. The Israelis accepted the plan but the Arabs didn't.
Who won the Arab-Israelis war. The Israelis won all 4 of the Arab-Israeli wars.
Why was PLO formed. PLO was formed because there were so many refugees and many people had to leave or lost there homes. So they made PLO.
Why don't Sunnis and Shiites get along. Sunnis and Shiites don't get along because the Shiites want religious political leaders and the Sunni did not.
How are Persians and Arabs different. Where do they come from. Persians and Arabs are different because Persians came from Asia and the Arabs came from Palestine. There histories and religion are different. They even speak different languages.
What do Muslim fundamentalists want. Muslim fundamentalists want Islam to be strictly observed. They want everyone to be Muslim.

Why did the US lead attacks against Iraq during the Persian gulf war. The US attacked them because we wanted to befriend them so we could get the oil we need.
Where was oil first discovered into he middle east Oil was first discovered in Khuzistan.
Why is oil such a valuable resource. Because it helps planes, cars, machine, etc to run. Creates wealth for people as well as country. It even creates products like cosmetics shoes and laundry detergents.
How much of the worlds oil is found in the middle east. About half the worlds oil is found in the middle east.
Why was OPEC so powerful. OPEC was so powerful because they would decide the price and a mount of oil produced in a year. Many countries were joining OPEC.
What country has the most oil. Saudi Arabia has the most oil but now Venezuela claims they have more.
What are some primary products in the middle east. Some primary products in the middle east are oil, seeds, date palms, and water. Even cotton.
What are some secondary products in the middle east. Some secondary products or the middle east are palm leaves, date syrup, paper, and other products.
How is a secondary product different from a primary product. A secondary product is different from a primary product because a secondary product is manufactured from a primary product.
what do you call a secondary product that is made of oil or natural gases. Petrochemical.
What does Fertile mean Rich in resources and nutrients.
What does Hunter-gatherer mean A person who finds food by hunting fishing and gathering dear fish and berries.
What does Irrigation mean The process of bringing water to dry land.
What does Arab mean A member of the sematic people of the Arabian peninsula.
What does Ethnic group mean People with a common cultural background.
What does Fundamentalism mean A religious movement stressing strict following of a set od basic principles.
What does Islam mean The religious faith of Muslims. Founded by Muhammad.
What does Israeli mean A person from the Republic od Israel.
What does Judaism mean. The religion of the ancient Hebrews. Founded by Abraham.
What does Kurd mean. A group of mountain people who live in Armenia Iran Iraq Syria and Turkey.
What does Mandate mean. A country placed under the control of another power.
What does Muslim mean. A follower of Islam.
What's the Ottoman Empire. A former Turkish power that ruled over most of the middle east until it was broken up following world war 1.
What's Palestine. The Holy land.
What does PLO mean. A group whose goal is destruction of Israel and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
What does Persian mean. An ethnic group that has lived in Iran for the past 3000 years
What does Shiite mean. The minority branch of Islam.
What does Sunni mean. The majority branch of Islam.
What does OPEC mean. Its the organization of petroleum Exporting Countries winch decides the price and amount of oil produced each year in Iraq Iran Saudi Arabia Kuwait Venezuela and other countries.
What's a primary product. A raw materiel used to manufacture other products.
Whats a secondary product. A product manufactured from a raw material.
Whats a petrochemical. A product made from petroleum or natural gases.
