Basketball rules and violations test

QuestionAnswer
when a player stops dribbling what do they do? pass, pivot, or shoot.
defense job is to steal the ball, but they can't... make contact.
end lines: bleachers behind the basket, the taped dotted line.
side lines: center black lines.
sideline in tournament plays: end of the thick black line.
what does the opposing team do if a shot is taken? take the ball back regardless of weather it hit the rim or backboard.
what do you do during subbing? make sure everybody has had a turn before repeating again.
what happens when a player dribbles with more then one hand, then stops dribbling, then dribbles again or carries/palms the ball? the opposing team is rewarded with possession at the top.
what happens when two players get in contact with each other? player being fouled gets one foul shot.
what happens if a player steps on the line, goes out of bounds, or the ball touches the line? other team gets the ball on that line.
what happens if the opposing team doesn't take the ball back before shooting? they loose possession and play is started form the top.
what happens if a team is illegally subbing? opposing team gets a foul shot and possession.
what happens if two players are fighting for the ball? stop play and award one team possession, alternating teams.
