Humanism a philosophy that tries to balance religious faith with an emphasis on individual dignity and an interest in nature and human society
Perspective The looking of objects that makes the painting look 3D or very live-like. In other words, the picture would have depth
Classical Art Art that was influenced by the styles and techniques of ancient Greece and Rome. The people in the pictures were often nude in their faces were calm and had no emotion. Balance and harmony.
Medieval Art The purpose of art techniques to teach people about religion who could not read or write.
Renaissance Art People and nature. Action. Faces had true emotion and they were clothed or nude. 3D
Patron A customer to a store or restaurant etc. A person who gives financial or other support to a person A supporter of the arts
City-State an autonomous state consisting of a city and surrounding territory
Republic A form of government in which citizens elect representatives to rule for them.
