Joint Occupation When 2 or more countries agree to settle in the same area

Nationalism A sense of pride and devotion to a nation
Internal Improvements Roads, bridges, canals, etc, that are built by the government to benefit the community
Incentive Something that leads people to follow a certain course of action
Sectionalism Disagreements between the different regions
Compromise A settlement of differences in which each side gives a little in order to reach an agreement
Corrupt Showing a willingness to act dishonestly in return for money or personal gain
Bargain An agreement between 2 or more parties as to what each will do for the other
