What are the 7 continents? North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, Antarctica

How do we know APPROXIMATE location of a place? The letter (on the left) and number (at the bottom) coordinates of a grid system (A3, B2)
What are the parts of a MAP? MAP TITLE, MAP LEGEND, COMPASS ROSE
What is found in a map legend or KEY? symbols and words
What is a symbol in a map legend? a picture
What is a compass rose? has cardinal directions (north, south, west, and east) and INTERMEDIATE directions (NW, SW, SW, SE)
