Mexican Independence

equality The state of having the same rights as all other people.
rebellion A fight against a goverment.
dictator A goverment leader who takes control by force and makes all important decisions.
grant A gift of land givin by a goverment.
empresario A person who had recived land as a gift from the Mexican goverment and could sell it to others.
militia A group of unpaid citizens who act like an army.
Tejano A Texan who has Mexican ancestors.
