scribe a person who writes
merchant a person who makes money by selling goods and resources
pictograph a symbol that represents an object
culture the ideas and things that make up a civilization
ziggurat an ancient Mesopotamian temple tower with an outside staircase and a shrine at the top
empire A big area where lots of people are ruled by one person.
capital A capital is a city that contains the center of government.
tribute money or a valuable item
code of laws The code of laws is a collection of written laws and rules.
economy Economy is the way a country uses resources to produce and sell or trade goods.
strategies Strategies are a planned approach.
invaders Invaders are people who forces themselves into a place where they do not belong.
unify To unify means to join together.
Hammurabi's Code Hammurabi’s Code is a collection of laws of King Hammurabi from Babylon.
siege Siege is a military attack on a city to force it to surrender.
