Floor Hockey

QuestionAnswer
What is Floor Hockey? A team sport which takes cooperation, communication, and strategy to be successful.
What should you wear during play? goggles, glasses, or both
Where should the blade of the stick stay? below the waist
What is the crease? the area in front of the goal in which only the goalie is allowed.
Who is the offense? players who must cross over the center line but may not cross over. Their main responsibility is to score on the opponent's goal.
Who is the defense? Players who may go to the center line but may not cross over. Their main responsibility is to keep the ball away from the goal.
Who is the rover? Player who may go anywhere except the crease. Their main responsibility is to help transition the ball from their defense to their offense.
What is the rule regarding your feet? The ball may touch your feet but you cannot use your feet to score.
What happens if the ball travels above the waist? You may use your hand to catch the ball if it travels above the waist. However you must immediately drop it and continue to play. You cannot throw the ball into the goal.
What must you do to achieve more accuracy in your shot? You must separate hands on the shaft of the stick.
What does separating your hands on the shaft of the stick help you achieve? More accuracy in your shot
