| Who are the Bedouin? | The Bedouin were pastoralists. Geography: Hot, Dusty, No water, Some can build houses on the flat land, and easy to travel. Too hot, not enough water, can't farm, some parts too rocky. Their history is based on Oral Tradition. |

| What are the Quraysh? | a local tribe that settled in Mecca sometime before A.D 500. A pilgrimage was made (a journey to a sacred site) By A.D 500, Mecca had become the most successful trade center in Arabia with merchants and pilgrims. |
| Who is Gabriel? | Gabriel is angel that came to muhammad in his vision. He said “Recite in the name of God”. |
| Who is Aisha? | Aisha is the daughter of Abu Bak’r and the wife of Muhammad. Aisha was a wealthy trader who was the first person outside of Muhammad’s family to become Muslim. |
| Who was Abu'Bukr? | was a caliph elected after the death of Muhammad. Abu Bak’r was the father in law of Muhammad, but did not share the same blood. He was elected, but died two years after. |
| What is the Qur'an | The Qur'an is a sacred book of Islam that is believed to contain the revelations made to Muhammad by Allah. |
