Ancient Egypt, The Nile River.

How long is the Nile? 4,160 miles long.
Where is Egypt located? Northern Africa.
Where were its major geographic features? The Nile River and Delta, The Mediterranean Sea, The Desert.
What way does the nile flow? South from the higher elevation.
How the Nile is a giver. Water for crops, fertile soil for farming, food such as geese, duck and fish, transportation.
How the nile is a taker. Extreme flooding that washed away houses and crops. Drought: Months of hunger and starvation.
What are the steps of mummifying? Remove organs, cover body in salt, wrap body in cloth, steal cloth with tree sap.
The source of the Nile River is? Lake Tana in the mountains of Ethiopia
Who lived and farmed along the Nile? Ancient Egyptians
How did the Egyptians measure the water level of the Nile regularly in an attempt to predict floods? Nile-O-Meter
Source of freshwater in the middle of the dessert? Oasis
Desert, precious stones, metal Red Land
