missions, presidios, and early towns

missions A religous settlement.
missionary A person who teaches his or her religion to others.
vaquero A cowhand;a person who helps rsise cattle.
presidios A fort built mostly from wood, stone, or adobe.
plaza A town square, sometimes in the center of town.
mestizo A person whos ancestors were both Spanish and Native Americans.
