TermDefinition
Compromise of 1877 Agreement to settle presedential election of 1876. Removed the Union miltary from the South. End of Reconstruction.
Tenant farmer Farmers who pay rent for the land they farm. VERY poor farm workers.
Sharecropper Paid a landlord a share fo the harvest in order to farm the land. VERY poor famr workder.
