What is a scribe? A writer who kept records, copied letters, and official documents.
What is a city-state? A self governing city
What is a ziggurat? A large pyramid with several stories.
What is polytheism? The belief of many gods and goddesses
Who was Enheduana? A Sumerian priestess who was also a scribe.
Who was Sargon? Famous king of Kish
What is an empire? A group of lands and peoples ruled by 1 government.
Who was Gilgamesh? Lengendary hero who set out how humans could live forever.
What is a code of law? written laws that apply to everyone under a government
What is an aquaduct? A raised structure built to carry water over long distances
Who was Hammurabi? King of Mesopotamia who built dams across the Euphrates River.
