These cards will help me for my test.
| Term | Definition |

| Digestive system | Breaks down food into simpler substances. Has small intestine, large intestine, liver, pancreas, stomach, esophagus, and salivary glands. |
| Circulatory system | Brings oxygen and nutrients to all cells. Brings carbon dioxide and waste away from cells. Has heart, arteries, veins, and capillaries. |
| Respiratory system | Brings oxygen to blood. Has lungs, alveoli, diaphragm, and bronchial tube. |
| Nervous system | Receives and processes info. Controls how body reacts and moves. Has eyes, brain, and spinal cord. Specialized cells, neurons, send info to different parts of your body. |
| Muscular system | Allows body to do many things. Has smooth, cardiac, and skeletal muscle. Smooth controls breathing, blood pressure, and digestive functions (involuntary). Cardiac is in heart (involuntary). Skeletal are on bones (voluntary). |
| Skeletal system | Provides shape, support and protects organs. Ligaments hold bones together and tendons are attached to muscles. |
| Endocrine system | Regulates hormones. Has pancreas, adrenal glands, and thyroid gland. |
| Excretory system | Removes wastes from digestive system and blood. Has colon, kidneys, and bladder. |
| Lymphatic system | Helps keep tissue free of excess fluid. |
| Integumentary system | Has skin, fingernails, and hair. |
