How did the death of Malkik Shah affect the empire? No capable shah appeared to replace him. So, the Seljuk Empire quickly disintegrated into a loose collection of minor kingdoms.
What influence did the Persians and Persian culture have on the Seljuks? They gave Persians important positions in the government. They looked to Persian scholars to teach them the proper way to follow Islam. They began to use the Persian language for art and education.
