Mercenaries Soldiers from one country who are paid to fight for another country.
Volunteers People who perform a service for free.
Minutemen Soldiers who are ready to fight with little warning.
Green Mountain Boys A group of Patriot soldiers from Vermont who captured Fort Ticondergoa for an early American victory.
Hessians German soldiers that were helping Britain.
Allies Other countries that help during wartime.
Treaty of Paris The agreement signed in 1783 at the end of the Revolution which recognized the United States as an independent nation and gave the U.S. a large area of land.
