Patriot A colonist who wanted independence from Britain.
Loyalist A colonist who wanted to remain loyal to Britain.
Neutralist A colonist was not a loyalist or Patriot.
Independence Freedom from being controlled by another country.
Traitor A person guilty of acting against his own country.
Sons of Liberty A group of Patriots who acted against Britain.
