Great Compromise Decided the issue of the number of representatives in the House and the Senate.
Three-fifths compromise Counted each slave as three-fifths of a person when a state's population was calculated.
Ratified Approved
Federalists Supported the Constitution because they supported a strong National government.
Anti-Federalists The opponents of the Constitution.
amendments changes
federalism division of power between the states and the federal or national government.
reserved powers powers that the Constitution neither gives to Congress nor denies to the States (schools, police)
checks and balances Gives each branch of government ways to limit the powers.
impeach accuse
concurrent powers powers shared by the federal and state governments.
