what is an economic venture? Any undertaking with the goal of making money
What is a separatist? A group of people who want to be separate from everyone els
What is persecution? constant bad treatment because of religion or bad backround
what is a puritan? A group of people who are trying to purify the church of Englan
what are Quakers? A christian group of people who didn't believe in war and fighting and the had there own way of doing things
what is a debtor? A person who owes another person money
what are resources? Items produced by human, natural, or capital means
what is Specialization? Focusing on one or a few products
what is interdependent? two or more people depending on each other for goods and services
what is a plantation? A large property, usually used for growing crops, that you own
what are Indentured servants? A person who agreed to work for a certain amount of time, usually 5 to 7 years
what is an artisan? A skilled manual worker who uses tools or machines to preform a craft
what is a proprietor? a person who owns a very large piece of land and acts as a governor of the area
what is colonial governor? chosen by the king and they approved all the decisions in the colonies
what is colonial legislature? made laws for each colony and where watched over by colonial governor
