| Christianity | The religion based on on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ |
| Baptize | A ritual by which a person is welcomed into a religion |
| Jesus | A man who lived from about 6 B.C.E to 27 C.E and upon whose life and teachings Christianity is based. Christians refer to him as Jesus Christ. |
| Disciple | A person who helps spread the religious teachings of another |
| Constantine | The Emperor in charge of Rome in 312 C.E who had a vision of Jesus the night before a big battle telling him that he would win |
| Parable | A simple story that explains a moral or religious lesson |
| Judea | The place were Jesus was born |
| Crucify | Hang somebody (Jesus) from a cross |
| Prefect | A high official in Ancient Rome |
| Resurrect | Rose from the dead |
| New Testament | The gospels after Jesus' death |
| Gospels | An account of the life and teachings of Jesus Christ |
| Missionary | Someone who tries to persuade others to believe in his or her religious teaching |
| Messiah | A savior that many Jews believed had been promised by God |
