Culture The way of life shared by a group people including language,beliefs, music,food,and holidays
Slavery The practice of making one person the property of another
Immigrant A person who comes to a new country to live.
Ancestor A person in your family starting with your parents,who was born long before you
Custom The special way a group of people does something
Heritage The history and traditions that a group of people share.
Ethnic Group A group of people whose ancestors are from the same country or area.
Government The law and people that run or country,state,county,city,or town.
Constitution The plan of government for the united States that explains the parts of government and outlines the most important laws.
Democratic republic A government in which citizens elect representatives to make decisions for them.
Citizen A person who is born in a country or who has earned the right to become a member of that country by law.
Tax Money that people pay to the government so that it can perform public services.
Congress The legislative branch of the us government which makes national laws.
Pres. The head of the executive branch of the us government.
Supreme Court The highest court in the us.
Washington D.C The capital of the us.
Bill of rights The first ten amendments of the us.
Economy The way a country uses or produces natural resources,goods,and services.
Services A job people do to help others,rather than making things.
Free enterprise The economic system allows people to run and own businesses.
Profit The money a business owns after it pays for tools , and other costs
Investor Someone who put money into a business and expects a share of the profit.
Manufacturing Making large amounts of goods in a factory.
Transportation The moving of goods or people from one place to another.
Interdependent Relieing on one another to meet needs and wants.
Region An area with common features that set apart from others area.
History The story of what happened in the past.
