| Blasphemy | A disrespectful act of statement against God |
| Christianity | A religion that follows Jesus Christ |
| Baptize | A ritual/ceremony where a person is welcomed into a religion |
| Jesus | The son of Mary and Joseph who later became known as the Messiah and the starter of Christianity |
| Disciple | A person who helps spread the religious teachings of another |
| Constantine | The Roman emperor from 306 to 337 He approved Christianity and was baptized before death |
| Parable | A simple story that explains a moral or religious lesson |
| Judea | The homeland of the Jews which was taken over by the Romans |
| Crucify | A sentence of hanging to death on a cross which was used by the Romans |
| Prefect | A high official in ancient Rome and the military, used to keep in order etc. |
| Resurrect | To come back from the dead |
| New Testament | Written by Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John |
| Gospels | Good news |
| Missionary | Someone who tries to persuade others to believe in that person's religious teachings |
| Messiah | A savior that lots of Jews believed had been promised by God |
