Christianity | The religion that believes in Jesus Christ. And promotes the loving of others. |
Baptize | A ritual by which a person is welcomed onto a religion. |
Jesus | He taught people love and was said to be the son of a God that rose from the dead. |
Disciple | A person who helps spread the religious teachings of another. |
Constantine | The emperor of Rome in 312 C.E., he helped the spread of Christianity. |
Parable | A simple story that explains a moral or religious lesson. |
Judea | The shore or area that Jesus was born in. |
Crucify | A painful and long torture resulting in death. Commonly used to kill Roman criminals. |
Prefect | A military governor. |
Resurrect | To rise from the dead. |
New Testament | The time after Jesus was born, C.E. |
Blasphemy | A disrespectful act against god. |
Gospels | The four people who wrote the acts of Jesus 30-70 years after Jesus died. |
Missionary | Someone who tries to persuade others to believe in his or her beliefs. |
Messiah | A savior that many Jews believed had been promised by God. |
