| Baptize | A ritual by which a person is welcomed into a religion. |
| Jesus | Christians believe that Jesus was the Son of God and rose from the dead. |
| Diciple | A person who helps spread the religious teachings of another. |
| Constantine | The Roman emperor that became a Christian through a dream that he had about Jesus. |
| Parable | A simple story that explains the a moral or religious lesson. |
| Judea | The birthplace of Jesus on the western end of the Mediterranean Sea, Judea included Nazareth, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem. |
| Crucify | It was the Roman method of a slow and painful death on a cross, this was the fate of Jesus. |
| Prefect | A high official in ancient Rome. |
| Resurrect | To rise from the dead. (After the three days in Jesus's tomb, he rose from the dead.) |
| New Testament | Writings from the Bible that were written after Jesus was born. |
| Blasphemy | A disrespectful act or statement against God. |
| Gospels | An account of the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. |
| Missionary | Someone who tries to persuade others to believe in his or her religious teachings. |
| Messiah | A savior that many Jews believed had been promised by God. |
