TermDefinition
Aztec A Pre-Columbian civilization that lived in Central America. Known for their large pyramids, human sacrifices, and strong armies.
Taino A Pre-Columbian civilization that lived in the Caribbean Islands. This was the first civilization to encounter the Spanish explorers.
Cuzco Currently a city in Peru, formally the capital of the Incan Empire.
Inca A Pre-Columbian civilization that lived in the Andes Mountains. Known for their stone work and elaborate road system.
Tenochtitlan The capital of the Aztec Empire, currently known as Mexico City.
Sapa Inca The leader of the Incan Empire. Worshiped as the Son of the Sun.
