Exploration & Encounter Test

TermDefinition
Longitude The Measured distance east or west from the prime meridian of a point on the earth's surface,
Equator An imaginary line around that circles the earth. The line is equal distance from the North and South poles. The equator is 0 degrees latitude.
Prime Meridian An imaginary line that stretches around the world. It is 0 degrees longitude.
Hemisphere Half of a circle. The earth is divided into 4 hemispheres (North, South, East, and West)
Latitude The measured distance north or south from the equator of a point on the earth's surface,
