Ban Josip Jelačić

Hrvatska u virjeme bana Josipa Jelačića

Revolucija u europi 1848 godine. Italija,Hasburška Monarhija,Francuska.Traže se uvođenje jednakosti za sve građanske slobode i ukidanje apsolutizma.Revolucije uskoro ugušene. Godine 1848 revolucija i u Hrvatskoj.
Zahtijevanje naroda. Donijela ih je Narodna skupština u ožujku 1848 godine.Sastojalo se od 30 točaka neke od njih su bile: ujedinjenje hrvatskih zemalja,jednakost građana i građanska sloboda,Josipa Jelačića za bana.Car odbija sve točke.Samo Josipa Jelačića prihvaća za bana.
Jelačićeva djelatnost. Prekida državnopravne veze Hrvatskih zemalja sa Ugarskom.Osniva Bansko vijeće,te samostalnu hrvatsku Vladu te ukida kmetsvo,ali ne u potpunosti.
Hrvatski sabor u lipnju 1848 godine. Prvi zastupnički saziv Hrvatskog sabora.Osim plemstva i svećenstva u njega se biraju i građani.
Jelačićev rat s Mađarima. Sve više nesuglasica između Hrvata i Mađara.Bečki dvor potiče Jelačića na sukob s Mađarima,kako bi ugušio revoluciju u Mađarskoj.Pohod protiv Mađara započeo je 11.rujna 1848 prelaskom Drave i pripajanjem Međimurja Hrvatskoj.
Bitka kod Pakozda i Ozore. Dana 29.rujna Jelačić se sukobio sa mađarskom vojskom kod Pakozda,bitka je protekla neodlučeno.Drugi dio Jelačićeve vojske,koji je predvodio general Roth,prošsao je još gore.Kod Ozore,blizu Balatona njegova je vojska 7.listopada pala u mađarsko robstvo.
Jelačić u Beču. Udružuje se sa knezom Alfredom Windischgraetzom.Zajedno zauzimaju Budimpeštu u siječnju 1849 godine.
Oktroirani ustav. Donio ga je car Franjo Josip I u ožujku 1849 godine.Monarhija se definira izrazito centralistička.Hrvati jako nezadovoljni Ustavom.I nisu prihvaćene njihove ideje o ujedinjenju hrvatskih zemalja ni da se država pretvori u federaciju.
