Culture knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors shared by and passed on by the members of a specific group
Ethnic Group specific group that shares a language, customs and a common heritage
Nationalism feelings of loyalty or devotion to one's country
Heritage something that belongs to one by reason of birth
Cultural Traits any trait of human activity acquired in social life and transmitted by communication
Acculturation the process of adopting the cultural traits or social patterns of another group
Assimilation the action of conforming with the customs, attitudes, etc., of a group or nation
Ethnocentrism the attitude or belief that one's own culture or group is superior
Patriarchal Society society in which men are the decision-makers and hold positions of power and prestige, and have the power to define reality and common situations
Matriarchal Society society dominated or heavily influenced by the females in the society
Hinduism a polytheistic religion that originated in South Asia that believes in Brahman, reincarnation, karma, and the caste system
Buddhism a religion that began in South Asia that emphasizes the four noble truths and the Eightfold path
Judaism a monotheistic religion that began in Southwest Asia that follows the Ten Commandments and emphasizes the idea that Jewish people have a covenant with God and believes the following laws from the Old Testament
Christianity a monotheistic religion where the followers believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God who was sent to Earth to die for people's sins
Islam a monotheistic religion from Southwest Asia that believes Muhammad is the last sacred prophet of God
Confucianism a religion that started in China that emphasizes filial piety and respect for elders
Region an area of the Earth's surface that shares unifying characteristics
