What did the Puritans want to do to the Church of England? The Puritans wanted to purify (correct the wrongs) of the church.
What did the Separatists disagree with? The practices of the Catholic church
What did the Separatists want to do? The Separatists wanted to separate or cut all ties with the Church of England.
Why did Pilgrims leave the Netherlands(Holland)? They were afraid they were losing their English heritage and they were not satisfied with the jobs that were available.
What was a Joint Stock Company? A Joint Stock Company was a group of investors.
How did the Pilgrims use a Joint Stock Company to their advantage? They asked a group of investors to buy stocks so they could start a new colony in North America.
Where did the Pilgrims want to buy land? They wanted to buy land near Jamestown.
Why did the Pilgrims land to far near Cape Cod? bad weather
Who was William Bedford? He was a pastor and the governor of the Plymouth.
What did the Mayflower Compact first do? It was the first document to set up a self government.
What was the Mayflower Compact for the American form of government? A corner-stone
What did Samoset do before any other Native American? He made contact with the Pilgrims.
Where did Samoset learn English? from fishermen who visited that area
What did Squanto teach the Pilgrims? He taught the Pilgrims how to plant corn, where to catch fish, And how to fertilize the fields with the fish remains.
Who were the Wampanoag? They were a group of Native Americans.
Who was the ruler of the Wampanoag tribe? Chief Massasoit
How long did the peace agreement that the Pilgrims and Chief Massasoit last? All of the Chief's life
