Plymouth wanted to land by Jamestown, but because of bad weather, they landed too far north near Cape Cod
Mayflower Compact First document that sets up a self-government. A corner stone of the American form of government
Samoset First native american to make contact with the pilgrims. He was able to speak some English. Learned how to speak English from fisherman who had visited that area
Squanto Taught the pilgrims how to plant corn, where to catch fish, and how to fertilize the soil with the fish remains
Wampanoag group of many tribes together near Plymouth.Led by Chief Massasoit. Through out the relationship Chief Massasoit had piece relation with the Pilgrims
