Why did the pilgrims leave there own country ? The pilgrims left england because they were seeking religious freedom.
How were the pilgrims able to start a colony in north america ? The rulers gave them money and supplies to successfully make a new church so there was no conflict between the church and the people
What was the mayflower compact ? The mayflower compact was like the constitution or the declaration of independence we know today it set laws and rules for the people to follow.
What did the puritans want to do ? The puritans wanted to purify the wrongs of the church.
What is a joint stock company ? A group of investors.
Who was william bradford ? William bradford was a pastor and the governor of plymouth.
Who was squanto ? Squanto taught the pilgrims how to plant corn, how to catch fish and how to fertilize the fields with the fish remains.
Who was samoset ? Samoset was the first native american to make contact with the pilgrims, he was able to speak some english.
Who were the wampanoag ? The wampanoag were a group of many tribes together that lived near plymouth, the tribe was led by Chief Massasoit.
