proper polarity in electrical wiring is hot to hot, neutral to neutral and ground to ground. never switch polarities it could cause a fire. neutral is always bigger.
why must circuits be equipped with fuse or circuit beakers fuses will melt, circuit breakers with pop like a switch turning it off.overcurrent protectiong device protect wiring from getting to hot and causing a fire. this may or may not protect you.
most 120 volt circuits are wired 15amp to 20 amp current of 50-100 milliamperes can kill you
wet conditions lower resistance this allows more current to flow threw. above 75milliamperes can cause verticular fibrillation which can kill. it all depends on path and how much the amount is, duration, voltage level, general and moisture
a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) protects current leakage between hot and neutral. 1/40th of a secound it will trip if it senses anything
extention cord wires must be UL approved, 3 prong ana be rated for hard or extra-hard usage.
over head power lines can kill stay 10ft away. until de-energized and have a power company rep on site
