The First 10 Amendments to the Constitution

Freedom of religion, speech, press, assembly and petition 1st Amendment
Right to keep and bear arms; states' right to have a militia 2nd Amendment
Freedom from having to allow soldiers to stay in citizens' homes in time of peace 3rd Amendment
Freedom from unreasonable searches and seizures (taking of personal property in your home) 4th Amendment
Freedom from being accused of crime except by a grand jury indictment and from being tried twice for the same crime 5th Amendment
Right to a fair trial in criminal cases 6th Amendment
Right to jury trial in most civil cases 7th Amendment
Right to reasonable bail, fines and punishment 8th Amendment
Protection of rights not written in Constitution 9th Amendment
